The ETC marquee might be the fastest way to see your name in lights.
blog.etcconnect.com: Many of us dream of having our name up in lights and when you work at or visit ETC that becomes a very real possibility! International guests, fundraiser events, conferences, and college rivals all have a shot at getting their names on the ETC marquee. Milestone birthdays, retirements, and major company events are all celebrated as part of ETC’s unique corporate culture.

Some friends of mine went to visit ETC this summer and posted a picture of the Marquee decked out for them. I think this a really clever way of marketing and building guest relations. ETC isn’t the only one that has a “gimmick” that is unique to their building and brand that keeps people talking and gets their name out in a friendly and fun manner. Though I have to say, this particular version is probably the most “on brand” version I could possibly think of for any company. What I really find interesting from a business perspective is that ETC could very easily be the kind of company that doesn’t play into these marketing stunts, that lets itself become the “work house” of their specialty because they do have such great brand recognition and product quality that while customer relations are still important, there is something to be said about the fact that even if you experience some poor customer service with them—given the brand you’ll still go back. The dedication to this kind of service and guest relations—even going so far as to making custom signs in different languages—is a great demonstration of this company knowing that a great brand goes beyond the product. No wonder Ali Whyte keeps going back to them.
