This article was a short, but hopeful story for the appreciation of the crew workers in the entertainment industry. Far too often are the people behind the scene overshadowed by the larger celebrities. Their work is constantly overlooked despite all the time and skill that is dedicated to it. It’s heartwarming to hear that the hair and makeup department received a reception, and their fellow coworkers from their shows came to support them. It may seem small, but every detail counts when bringing a piece of art to life. I have always been a huge advocate for the celebration of all sides of the entertainment industry. With moments like the Oscars trying to cut out the technical awards, it can be upsetting as someone who aims to be in that profession to see the work so belittled. However, events like this give me hope of being a part of a stronger community that loves the art that has been made.
