I agree completely with the necessity for proper footwear in a workplace. I, personally, have been in jobs wearing improper footwear and have faced things related to lack of traction, support, and protection. Without proper footwear jobs not only become less comfortable, but less safe. Slipping when pushing or pulling heavy things around can lead to serious injury and damage. Not having the proper supports can lead to long term damage to spine and foot. I believe that companies are required to ensure that workers are provided with the proper footwear to keep them safe and healthy.
