CTnow: Running away to join the circus is one of the great romantic ideals. "The Circus in Winter," a new musical about how circus folk spend their downtime, has run away from Indiana to seek fame and fortune on the East Coast.

This show seems awesome. Every time I see circus arts being incorporated into theater in a new way I get excited! (Even though this musical portrays carnies in their down time!) Circus is far more rooted in our history than people think, and it is great that the history of this art, adapted from a book for the stage, is being presented in a way that theater-goers can learn about it!
