Stage Preview: John Davidson enjoys con game in 'Wicked'
Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: John Davidson doesn't leave things to chance. When he says that his "Wicked" co-star Alison Luff is a great young talent, he spells out L-U-F-F. When he says the secret to touring is having a wife who likes to travel as much as he does, he spells out the name R-H-O-N-D-A, his wife of 30 years.

This is an interesting insight into the mind of professional actors...I don't know if it's fair to generalize that much but still. One of the things I never understood was how touring actors worked, which the article touches on a bit. Todd told us how touring in the circus works, but for normal actors, I would never imagine it to be easy. I think it's interesting that Davidson relies on his wife, since in my mind, a family of any sort would be what kept them from touring. The article mentions a few of Davidson's returns to Pittsburgh, which I find interesting...it must be as close to a permanent home as he has, what with the touring and all. It's always interesting to learn about Pittsburgh based stars now and again.
