I'm all about government support for the arts, and I think it's great that the county wants to help out the Wilson Center, but I don't think the government should be bailing out theaters any more than they should be bailing out mortgage companies.
The only reason the county should be helping the arts center is if it provides a significant benefit to the community. Does the Wilson Center provide a vital service for the community? If it does, then I totally support it.
