London’s Dark Musicals ‘American Psycho’ and ‘Stephen Ward’
NYTimes.com: There’s no accounting, it seems, for the unspeakable places a man might be driven by a wayward libido. I'm surprised to hear that " American Psycho" has been reinvented into a musical since the original movie had left such a disturbing aftertaste. And I'm glad to hear Andrew Loyd Webber is having a go at another musical, however, I have to admit that this is a tale that is slightly darker than his other creations. I imagine these stories are becoming relevant due to the recent tragic outbreaks of assault in London. However, I hope that two shows are able to grace the stages of Broadway or off-Broadway.
