7 Financial Decisions Made In Your 30s That May Haunt You In Your 50s
Forbes: People often say “life is short” as a justification to do or buy something immediately rather than waiting. But the truth is, life is not short. Life is long. I went into this article thinking that I might be too much of a naive, idealistic, starry-eyed, college student with too little understanding the real word to appreciate the advise here, which is probably sort of true. But I'm still glad I chose to read it. The attitude of the writer, that life actually isn't that short and so we should be thinking about decisions responsibly at least sounds like something I agree with, although I don't know if its something I will see myself following in practice. But its definitely something I will think about. The section that most resonated with me was the section about when to have children. I see myself as someone who does want to have children eventually, but at the same time I know that I want to have a decent amount of time after college to be an adult without family responsibilities. This is something that I think is pretty common with girls of my generation but its a lot to think about. And this article did an interesting job of presenting the different things to consider with children.
