New Pa. Reality Series Focuses on Director's Chair
ABC News: Fascinated by that "What if?" scenario, Moore and the others are giving two little-known directors about $850,000 each to produce a theatrical film from the same script. The production process of both films will be chronicled in the 10-week series that Moore hopes will air this fall on a still-to-be-determined pay cable TV movie channel.

There are lots of exciting things about this project. It is, of course, an amazing opportunity for up-and-coming directors to practice their craft on a platform that will allow their work a very large exposure. The big names involved in the series will certainly draw a lot of attention to it.
The reason why this is being made, the "What if?" question, is definitely the biggest draw of "The Chair". Everyone has wondered at some point what would've happened if they'd taken a left instead of a right, left rather than stayed, etc. People love those kinds of questions, and I think that exploring that idea in an artistic setting is fascinating. I'm definitely very curious to know what the results will be, and how different or similar the two films will be.
