Projection Trends Part II: Creating Warping
Worship Tech Decisions: Geometry is centered on the mathematics of shape, size and relative position, and it is at the core of all image processing technologies. While today’s magical DSP technologies can do amazing things, image geometry correction has been part of the A/V world since the old overhead and slide projector days and in the motion picture business for much longer.

While we have computers to figure these things out, which is awesome, I do have to wonder how difficult it would be to do the relatively simple keystone correction by hand without computers. It's really cool how smooth everything looks with the advances in technology. I am particularly impressed by the projection onto the Radio City Music Hall arch, given the number of projectors involved and the amount of change in the projection surface.
