Yes! It's always good to hear that things like this are happening. As more and more budget cuts occur, the arts usually suffer. It's so important for children to be introduced to the world of art; visual, musical, theatrical...I was very lucky as a child to go to a sort of avant-garde public school that focused on using art as a means of teaching. In every subject and class we used art to help us learn, be it through song, visual arts, or theatrical performances. Not only did it make me comfortable as a kid with being creative and trying new things, but it emphasized what I was learning, as I was able to use all my senses in the process. I truly think it has had an immense impact on me as a lifelong student. It is so important for us to cherish the arts and keep them alive in youth today. It is just as important as math, science, english, and history, and we so often take that for granted.

The Kennedy Center for the Arts has chosen Madison for its " Any Given Child Program" the point of the program is to get arts education in schools, this is wonderful as in most areas arts has ben put on a back burner and most students do not get the opprutunity to have an arts education. Its great news that the arts are still fighting to be in schools and to let students get to be apart of them.
