Sewickley native having a ball as 'Memphis' DJ
Post Gazette: Peter Matthew Smith gets so lost in character in a memorable scene from the touring company of "Memphis," even close friends aren't sure it's him. In the the Tony-winning musical at Heinz Hall through Sunday, he portrays Buck Wiley, a slow-drawling disc jockey who plays tunes by the likes of Patti Page and Roy Rogers -- a polar opposite to lead Huey Calhoun, a fast-talking spinner of newfangled rock 'n' roll.
