'Wit,' Starring Cynthia Nixon, Took the Long Road to Broadway
WSJ.com: "Wit," a drama about a poetry professor with stage-four ovarian cancer, opened off-Broadway in 1998 and quickly began racking up accolades. It picked up numerous awards, including the Pulitzer Prize, and was soon was being staged around the country.
