Pittsburgh Art + Technology: The Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh, with funding from the Grable Foundation and support from The Sprout Fund and The Pittsburgh Foundation, will provide “Maker” micro grants to organizations who work with children and youth.

I think it's great that a grant like this has been made available. It is important for educators and institutions to be able to engage youth in projects which will encourage their creativity. The money will surely provide a new opportunity that otherwise may have been an impossibility. And with this opportunity, doors may be opened for these kids in terms of new interests and prospects for further study as they get older. It is wonderful to see that organizations still hold concern for the education of youth and are attempting to provide funds in order to instill it.
