City Opera Lockout Leaves Upcoming Season Questionable
Backstage: New York City Opera has locked out its union musicians and choristers from today's opening rehearsal of the season after contract negotiations deteriorated over the weekend. The lockout leaves uncertain the fate of City Opera's first production, "La Traviata," and the company's upcoming truncated season.
