Public Theater season blends humor, thought-provoking drama

Pittsburgh Tribune-Review: "A classic drama first performed in 5th century B.C. Greece and a new drama that won the 2010 Tony Award for best play are among those planned for the Pittsburgh Public Theater's 2011-12 season at the O'Reilly Theater, Downtown.
The six-play season begins with a new staging of 'Electra' (Sept. 29-Oct. 30), Sophocles' blood-smeared tale of a family bent on murder, revenge and adultery. Ted Pappas, producing artistic director of the Pittsburgh Public Theater, will direct Frank McGuinness' adaptation of the classic tragedy.
