'Spider-Man's' Broadway Producers Hire Musical Consultant

Backstage: "The producers of the Broadway musical 'Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark' have hired a veteran musical supervisor and conductor to help with the production, the New York Times reported.
Paul Bogaev -- whose Broadway credits include 'Tarzan,' 'Bombay Dreams', 'Aida,' 'Sunset Boulevard', 'Aspects of Love,' 'Chess' and 'Starlight Express' -- has been tapped as a consultant to work on the vocal and orchestration arrangements and sound quality of the songs, 'Spider-Man' spokesman Rick Miramontez told the Times.

Opening delayed for a sixth time? Surprised? No. If it hasn't already it seems like spiderman is currently in disaster control. They are trying to throw more money and resources at a failed production. I don't think they stand much of a chance at redeeming this production. All of that being said I really want to see the show still, I feel like this will be talked about for years regardless of how long it runs.

I totally saw this coming when there was talk about rewriting the script of Spider-Man. Now they are looking for someone to reworking the music. It is interesting hat they are looking for this new talent so late in the process. It is probably because they had all of the safety problems and that was there priority at the time. Now they can look at the show as a whole and they are seeing that it needs a lot of work and needs more time. I hope that when they get the help they will make it a better show. And then it might get better reviews. I doubt that it will make the reviews any better.
