Pittsburgh City Paper: "In the program notes for Churchill in Short(s)?, dramaturg Ariel Nereson quotes Carol Churchill as saying: 'Playwrights don't give answers, they ask questions.'
I didn't get to see this, though I wanted to. I'm a fan of Churchill's work (most of it, anyway), and I would have been interested to see how true this review is. This reviewer obviously had a very strong (negative) reaction, and his apparet anger saturated his review. This is not a good thing. Reviews include opinion, of course, but there also needs to be a sense of objectivity. The review is representing a huge, varied group of people, and to grab onto his emotions and ride across the keyboard of his computer is not an effective way of determining where and how this production went wrong.

It's "Caryl," not "Carol."
