NYTimes.com: "From the darkness in the back of the theater, a voice said: “Scene 27, Audio Take 13.” It was the signal for Chief Thomas Galvin’s closeup. Would his eyebrows survive?
The camera rolled. Chief Galvin, who is in charge of the Fire Department’s bureau of training, delivered his line flawlessly—all six words, exactly as they were written in the script.

Wait the FDNY has a YouTube channel for public service announcement? That's pretty cool. So I am guessing with the fire chief on site for the taping, they did not have to pay for a fire watch? I think this is pretty cool and a great way to make public service announcements interesting. I am sure there will be some buzz in NCY when the commercials hit the airwaves.
Not to mention the Flying Karamazov Brothers don't take themselves too seriously and have a lot of fun... Way to keep a serious situation light.
It totally fits. I like this idea a a lot. The brothers get to give back to the community, while gaining some publicity. I wonder how Mr. Magdid actually conceptualized this as something for his group to do. I would think this to be right up an advertisement companies alley. I can see his pitch working and the fire department totally going for it because of the revamping of the site. But it's interesting...
This sounds like quite a stunt to pull any day of the week, and it's especially daring when you've got a Fire Chief involved. Can you imagine what would have happened had something gone wrong and Mr. Galvin had been hit in the face with a flaming torch? Just asking. This is definitely an interesting concept for a public safety announcement, which is bound to get a great deal of attention (especially with this article).
