I have seen a few shows at BAM (mostly by visiting companies) and I agree that they are definitely someone to watch right not in the industry. They are bringing in some really exciting artists like Alan Rickman, who received acclaim as a director there last season, among others. In addition, they have become something of a cultural center, providing dance and film offerings in addition to theatre. It is my hope that with the originality and ingenuity on Broadway looking scant (feel free to disagree) tourists might try venturing out of the borough and see what BAM has to offer.
