I thought this article was really interesting because it surrounds lighting design and the aesthetic appearance of the fixture in terms of the overall design of the space. I thought their solution was really stylistically interesting. The fixtures in conjunction with the rest of the design of the space made everything feel very sleek and modern. The nice glow of the fixtures also aided in this establishment of setting. I thought it was a really cool way to combine different areas of design in a more harmonious way than sometimes occurs. I think it made for a really interesting end product and hope that audiences and participants thought so in addition to everyone else. It was also refreshing to be able to comment on something that was not related to COVID 19, even though this was published very recently. Understanding seeing different ways of doing things is a great way to sharpen our minds so that we can be better equipped with ideas once we are able to jump back into things.

I found it interesting that while the overall feel of the space was modern and minimalistic, the lighting instruments were retro. Even so, the style of the room still gave off a very non-retro vibe. I have to say that while the space is beautiful and cohesive it's not a style I personally find appealing. The feeling of being in an non-descript and almost barren and empty space makes me a bit uncomfortable because that amount of cleanness feels unnatural. That's just my personal view though. I've never seen New York Fashion Week or any fashion show for that matter and it surprised me to hear about the thought that went into the environment. I assume the minimalistic look is to provide a fairly non-distracting while still enhancing space for the styles and art on display. I liked that this article gave a bit of insight into an unexpected focus and the thought process that goes into an unfamiliar form of live "entertainment."
