I didn't know that ensembles couldn't or didn't get nominations in the first place, so the addition of this makes me really happy. I think that ensembles are kind of the rock of Broadway shows. They are essential to driving the show forward. This is a brand new award show, which is nice that the ensembles are going to have their own Focus as well as a category in this award ceremony. I look forward to watching these, and they're also hosted by the same company that does the Oscars, Emmys, and other award shows, which is promising. Looking at some of these nominations, Ragtime and Chess seem to have a lot of nominations, as well as Mamma Mia. I haven't been able to see any of these shows yet on Broadway, but I've listened to the Ragtime cast album, and I can assure you that the ensemble sounds incredible. This is really lovely news. The work of the ensemble is essential, and I think all the nominees should be really proud, and people who weren't nominated should still be proud of the incredible talent they possess.
