This is awesome, and it gives me hope in today’s world, where it seems like minorities at risk are being completely dropped by bigger organizations that are afraid of retaliation by the Trump administration. These grants are a huge deal, and to know that they’ve increased significantly in just the past year gives me just a little more faith in philanthropy. The record $3.2 million is impressive, and it’s spread across 158 food pantries across thirty eight states. I’m glad there was an additional $1.5 million in emergency funding allocated to offset the SNAP program’s disruption. On the Broadway Cares website, the 2026 numbers have logically not yet been listed, but even the 2025 numbers alone are impressive. Their grant history shows a slow trend upward, reflecting their necessity. There are year-specific initiatives highlighted as well, though not in more recent years. Their website also details their history and origin meant to support organizations responding to the AIDS crisis.
