How to build a culture of innovation
Fast Company: Every company wants to be innovative. Most approach this by trying to hire highly creative specialists or by spinning up a new “innovation” team. But companies that consistently innovate do something different: They build company-wide systems focused on customer solutions and make innovation part of everyday business.

This article was such an interesting read considering how I feel as if our cultural value for innovation has both diminished and been emphasized more than ever right now. From AI, to the stress for authenticity in digital culture, innovation itself seems more important than ever, yet lacking in so many ways. Immediately this article brings up the point that companies need to value their customers and see them as more than just data and patterns when it comes to interacting and understanding what they want. This is incredibly important and unfortunately feels so foreign to so many big corporations now emphasizing profit over all else. Specifically, the discourse around Disney theme parks comes to mind with the absurd rise in prices in every facet. The average Disney theme park experience now comes to around $2,000 on average, yet Disney continues their price hikes because they know customers will keep coming back despite stories of many going so far as going into debt. Ultimately, with the points this article brings up, I think this will fail as innovative solutions which value and humanize their customers are not just necessary, but essential in long-term growth and maintenance.
