The specs of this fixture definitely caught my eye! I’m someone who hasn’t actually programmed/designed with a wide breadth of fixture profiles so bear with me. I was just hearing recently about red shift emulation, which is something I can definitely see would have benefited me on shows I’ve designed in the past, so it’s cool to see it being added to more fixtures. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a RGBMA fixture—I’ve worked with RGBA fixtures and Lustrs which supposedly get their pop from the inclusion of lime, but I’ve never seen mint specifically as a color used here. I’m really curious about the color theory behind that choice. I also took a look at the fixture profiles—I really was not expecting choices of 10 different profiles for an LED ellipsoidal! What I found really interesting about the DMX traits is that while some of this is because of options for maximal customization (a refresh rate channel is another thing I’ve never encountered before), some of it is also because of options that let you literally dumb the fixture down into a dimmer, which is interesting to me. I would like to see some real life examples of how a designer/manager might use something like that.
