9 Home Depot Tools Under $50 That Are Actually Worth Buying

www.slashgear.com: Sometimes, Home Depot is full of great deals on DIY tools, plants and patio decorations, home appliances, and even furniture. However, not every dollar saved is a dollar earned, and what might look like a great deal can turn out to be a poor investment. While some of Home Depot's tools under $10 are worth your time, most of the cheap stuff is, frankly, junk.

I worked with a lot of Ryobi tools in high school. They were pretty decent at getting the job done, and it's nice to have access to semi-reliable tools for a cheap price. It's cool to see that they have multiple products on this list. I would buy them if I needed to, though when it comes time for me to buy my own tools, I hope I am able to invest in a higher quality set. I have never heard of Wen, but I really like that there is a medium range laser measure on this list. That can be a super handy tool to have and even if it's simple, it could be really helpful to have access to. But I must say, I already have some trouble believing the accuracy of those tools, so if I got a cheap one I may find myself consistently questioning the readings.

For once, I actually happen to agree with a lot of the tools presented in this article. Usually there are filler tools that you wouldn't actually want, or aren't actually tools. They would be things like a fancy pencil or pen with some unique trait, but it would be like 30 dollars for just one. So while it would be under the 50 dollar limit, it wouldn't actually be worth the purchase. However, the tools presented in this article were both actually tools, and actually useful. The Ryobi drill is a particularly good example. Most people will find a use for a drill in their life, but not everyone needs an amazing drill. Ryobi does an incredible job of finding a good in-between of quality and cheap. Not everyone needs a super-powerful drill. While the Black and Decker tools might also be useful, it is worth noting that they happen to be the parent company of my sworn enemy, DeWalt. So truthfully I'm not sure where I stand on them morally.
