For Tiara Whaley, race isn't a factor in Media Theatre's 'Grease'
The Arts | phillytrib.com: She’s much like her character, Sandy Dumbrowsky in “Grease.” She’s cheerful, full of life, and a great singer. There’s only one difference: in the 1978 movie, Sandy, played by Olivia Newton-John, was white, and in the Media Theatre’s production, coming May 2-25, Tiara Whaley is Black.
