While I love the hands on side of sound and reading about how to mix and troubleshoot live audio, the tools and gear that go along with it is just as important. I was working on a project for Basic Design 2 and was looking into sound equipment that we could rent from ideate. I had a really fun time looking at all the speakers and monitors, reading about their specs, and trying to figure out what was the best choice for our project would be. I am excited to take more classes in sound eventually so that I can keep learning about what each specification really means and how they make the properties of a speaker. This new shotgun mic is super cool because it hgihlights how much advancement we have made in sound technology.I am starting to learn some more about the equipment that we have in the school of drama and how they are used in different situations.
