How to Efficiently Manage Your Installation Team
www.signshop.com: There’s a lot more to sign installation than the actual installation itself. The team members you trust to place your client’s signage need to be great planners and, above all, great communicators as they represent your business. The better they communicate, the better the experience for everyone – including you, when you can send the team to a job without wondering if you should be there to supervise.

While this article didn’t directly discuss on site management of an installation team and was moreso focused on how to manage the project overall from start to finish through the planning phase and through the actual installation, it still contained useful information and framing of aspects of this process that are also important to technical theater. Emphasizing the importance of adequate planning, surveying, and drafting for the scope of the project is essential to have a successful installation, in addition to being able to trust the installers to take the appropriate actions to get the job done. Lastly, ensuring that the client is aware of the kind of work that is happening and that their expectation of the finished project matches the actual installation are some of the most essential aspects to proper management of an installation. Placing communication in high priority can be just as important in addition to a safe and effective installation.
