Many have been impacted by this fire, and it makes me happy to know that even these big capitalist companies are putting their events on pause to help those who have been affected by this natural disaster. As L.A. still houses many in the film and theater industry it is even more important that we support our fellow artists who are struggling with the losses of their homes and communities. I do wonder if these companies are donating out of the goodness of their hearts or because if they didn’t they risk facing backlash from their audiences. It's always a struggle to understand the intent of big corporations, but whatever their intent I am glad that they are contributing to the work being done to minimize the fire and rebuild and restore the L.A. area to its former glory. I hope that those displaced by this fire are safe and taken care of and that they can rebuild their lives and not fall through the cracks of the rebuilding effort.
