Adele Stops Show to Defend Fan Bothered by Security for ‘Standing Up’
Rolling Stone: They can stand if they want to! Adele paused her show in Las Vegas over the weekend to defend a fan who was approached by security several times and told to sit down while he stood up and sang the lyrics to her music.

I am personally astounded by Adele's actions in the best way possible. Being able to notice a fan being bothered by security who is decently far back is incredible. It shows how much she cares about her fans and makes her more human, and unlike this unreachable star many people see her as. Concerts are a place where music is meant to be enjoyed, and standing should not be penalized. Everyone wishes to enjoy their experience at a concert, and they should be allowed to as long as they aren't harming other people, or completely ruining their experience. I have also been corralled by security to be less "in the way" at a concert when I was merely dancing around in a singular spot. It is incredibly difficult to enjoy your music and concert when you are told to be less excited and remain standing or sitting in a certain way. I hope that one day other people will stop caring so much about what a random stranger is doing, and we can learn to appreciate each other and different ways of enjoying art.
