LDI or Light Design International is an annual convention where production companies and designers come together to showcase the newest technologies the industry has to offer. Light Design International actually concludes today on the 21st and I will be interested to talk to some people that I know went to the convention and hear about what they saw. While this article is not very informative about what LDI is, it does give you a snippet of what the booths look like and how hardcore these production companies go for this convention. Since I have never been to LDI in the past, I can only assume from the article that there is a level of secrecy behind each booth that gets installed. Personally, I think it would be an amazing experience to go to LDI one year to see all of the new technology. There is so much to come in the industry, especially with the development of drones, LDI could very soon have an outdoor section too.
I have always wanted to go to Light Design International. LDI is a place where designers and technicians from all over the world can come together and compare new ideas to help further the industry as a whole. Every year I keep my eyes peeled on tons of websites posting articles about new articles about all the new product debuts happening on the LDI floor. This article was really interesting as it gave a kind of behind the scenes look at what companies put into their booths. Everything that do is over the top and that is most definitely on purpose. One day I hope to attend LDI so I can see all of this with my own eyes. LDI and all of the exhibitors, speakers and attendees are helping advance technology, design and even thinking in the industry every year and I can not wait to be part of it.
