4 Mixing Tools You Didn't Know You Had

Pro Audio Files: When we think of mixing tools we generally think of compression, EQ, reverb, and distortion. In reality, we have a lot more tools at our disposal, none of which require any specific plugins. We have an arsenal of compositional tools that we might be ignoring. And yet, these tools are every bit as powerful as any signal processor.

Audio engineers have such an interesting thing to fight against with fighting against both what people want to hear and what they deem as right and the more tools they have the better they are in combatting this issue. As artists yes we are always going to fight and have other peoples opinions crash with what we do and the things that we try and effect. Audio engineers however also have to fight constantly with the natural rhythm of peoples ears. For the most part visual mediums experience harsher and a wider range of variation in everyday life so seeing something out of place is sometimes more acceptable then hearing something thats just off and at least for me personally it bugs me as I'm never quiet able to un play that sound in order to move on. Mixing is a true art form after awhile when one is searching for the exact right sound not just for themselves or others but for everyone and the piece itself when that is meet there is a beautiful medium which ultimately is what can make music and performances last in our minds for ever.
