What Recruiters Are Really Thinking In These 8 Scenarios

www.fastcompany.com: For many job seekers, it can be confusing and downright frustrating to try to understand what a recruiter is thinking when he or she reviews a resume, or is evaluating a candidate post-interview. Most recruiters would like to speak with everyone personally, but some of their job postings have so many people applying that they often have to rely on form letters.

Overall I found this article mildly helpful. I think that a few of these were a bit of common sense answers that were vague and not very helpful, but there were a few that I was surprised to read about. for one, having an interview reschedule might not always be a bad thing. I had always thought that that meant they had chosen someone else or were putting people they liked better earlier in the interview process. The other answer I found helpful was the one regarding multiple applications to the same position. I completely agree that applying again with nothing different will likely not yield a positive result, but if you have gone away to learn new skills or now have another bit of experience in the field then it can never hurt to apply again and see if the results might be different. I do also agree that is you are dismissed early on in the process that you should reconsider if the role is actually right for you.
