TV Production Up 33 Percent in L.A., Will It Last?

Backstage: TV production is up more than 33 percent in Los Angeles over the second quarter of last year. The numbers seem to be a bright spot in what has been a dismal run of statistics for southern California’s entertainment industry. But officials with FilmL.A., a not-for-profit that tracks production figures through permitting for local productions, immediately tampered down expectations.

I feel that with everything going on and with new series starting and new seasons are starting soon that people are trying to catch up or getting really excited. I think when all the new shows start hitting the screen the 33 percent isn’t going to last at all. People are going to get sick of the old shows and maybe not like the new shows. With all this television also most people only watch on channel so that could bring the percentage down a little. With all the categories rising on film and television that means that people are getting excited for new things and wanting to see the lives and the new views with new shows. I think some will work out but with the percentage I think that the work that they are worrying about this should be used to make old and the new shows better that they thought they are going or are already.
