This expansion will be great for the life of students as well as the many other members of the CMU community. New additions to the University Center will open the door to bigger things for CMU. Now that they will have a new in-the-round theater spaces such as clubs and themed rooms, groups that otherwise were unable will be able to get together and strut their stuff on stage! The new apartment space will also appeal to potential CMU attendees. Having attractive housing is very important and students will love the new common areas. Having a easily accessible fitness center is very important to the students and other CMU personnel. Investors pouring money into the school is always a very important thing to look for. As I check out my college choices, one of the first things I investigate is how much money the school is investing back into the facilities, faculty, and, most importantly, the students. Creating a good work environment for the faculty is one of the most important things a college can do, seeing as the last thing anyone would want is an unhappy professor.
