Orange Jumpsuits Are Too 'Cool" For Jail

As I live in an area where people wouldn’t even think of wearing an orange jumpsuit for fashion reasons, this article was pretty funny to me. Although it really does intrigue me that a prisoner might just happen to walk off in an orange jumpsuit and blend into regular society. I think of it this way: First off, if a prisoner is outside of a prison, they are without a doubt being closely monitored by a warden, which makes it hard enough to walk off. Even more importantly than that, a prisoner who is doing something like highway cleanup isn’t going to be able to just waltz off down the road and expect someone to pick them up by just assuming that the orange jumpsuit was a fashion choice. It’s not my call to make, but I’m sure that prisons have nothing to worry about in regards of having any fashionista inmates decide to strut down the road and get away.
