Given that her play is about a 40-ish female novelist squaring off — and pairing off — with a young male blogger turned author, you’d be forgiven for assuming that her natural sympathies lie with Olivia, the novelist, and that she was struggling to be fair to Ethan, the callow male character. But Ms. Eason said in an interview that “finding my way into her was more difficult” than writing Ethan.
