While it’s unfortunate for any show to receive such unpromising results from audiences, it is difficult for every show marketed by Broadway to obtain popularity and, in turn, financial success. With a show like “Holler If Ya Hear Me,” it is a challenge to appeal to the typical theater go-ing demographic. The show details the struggles and success of late rapper Tupac. Even though Tupac was a significant figure in popular culture and continues to live on through mainstream media, his story is hard to sell to a several different groups of audiences. It is difficult to witness the sudden end of a new and fresh show, however, only so much can be done before the best choice is to close. There are too many other shows and not a large enough market to continue to keep shows running. The cost alone will create a rapidly growing loss of money for all individuals involved.
