A Contractor Takes His Tools to Hollywood
Tools of the Trade: Joseph Christman is a design build contractor in the Los Angeles area who specializes in finish carpentry and millwork installation. The video below was shot near a project he did in Hollywood. But it could have been anywhere, what matters is it was a congested area and he had to park blocks from the job and haul tools by hand.

I can remember when devices that are now handheld used to weigh hundreds of pounds. Devices are so portable now. Cameras are a great example of how devices have shrunk in size and price. Now we have cameras in our phones that would trump most cameras from the late 90s. It is amazing how Joseph is putting this technology to use. He might not be getting the “best” quality possible by using an IPad that only has a 5 mega pixel camera, but it is interesting that he is performing a task that with a device that is much smaller an older camera. A carrying case is a great way to not only organize your tools but also it makes moving them from place to place much easier. As technology improves people adapt their ways and I think it is great that people are trying these new ways and getting great success with it.
