I totally love when companies that supply designers have apps! It is the way of the now. I know that when it came to picking and ordering gels and gobos, the rosco apps were really helpful. I know that when ordering material, the more information I can give a designer the fastest, the more likely that designer is to go with that company. I am actually surprised that Rosebrand does not have one already. I think the next step would be to be able to make a favorites list or a cart or something that would tally up the costs of an order. That would be cool for people who are in a rush to get an order in. So right now the app allows people to order a fabric they click on, but I am thinking a cool add on would be if the app could add prices before placing an order. Just a thought.

We use this kind of technology with Rosco and gels, and I have seen a million other places where similar web apps would be quite useful. I am the worst at doing research when the starting pool is like a million things...I just don't have the patience. Having access to apps like this Rose Brand app makes me smile because next time I need to find a fabric, I know where to look. I hope that other place take a cue from this app.
