I found it interesting that the article brought up the cultural connotations of vampires. We've kind of romanticized them in the last few years here in America and redefined them as a creature. With Twilight and all of these other vampire novels and movies coming out, completely changing what we define as a vampire, it's interesting to see a more classical approach to the beast. What I would be interested to see is how the production changed to combat the current images we associate with vampires (Twilight) with what the story of Dracula.
