I think plays that are contemporary but have a tie to the past are extremely interesting. It makes the play accessible to audiences now, but still reminds us of what has happened in history. This play in particular seems extremely fascinating because it is set in Texas, which is not thought of the most liberal place in the world, but it is tied to trying to kill Hitler. I think it is also great that Harrelson is putting on a new work and trying to help young actors who are trying to make it in the business. It's always nice to see someone who is well known for their career help someone also trying to achieve the same career.
Woody Harrelson is a tremendous actor, so a play directed by him has a lot to live up to. It's good to know that he will cast the play with young, local talent, Harrelson has always been one to help the community. As for the theme of the play, it's daring to make aplay based around such a controversial topic, so Harrelson should be cautious to not be insulting or innapropriate with his decisions, but still attempt to push the envelope of what's socially acceptable.
