'Madagascar Live!' makes tasty theatrical dish for youngsters
Post Gazette: "'Madagascar Live!' is an engaging bit of real theater for kids, with a well-paced plot (even if everybody already knows what that is), well-cast and nicely costumed characters (even if they already are licensed plush toys), and some rollicking song-and-dance numbers that invite the audience, too, to get temporarily wild.

Like I have said before I think that shows like this one and like 'Angelina Ballerina' are wonderful avenues for young children to begin their love for the theatre. I love that shows like this exist and that they are still growing, because it is important for younger generations to realize what a great and awe-inspiring place that theatre can be. Hopefully shows like this one will continue to create new theatre lovers and inspire kids to make their own type of theatre and touch people in that sort of way. I have seen the Madagascar movie and thought that it was cute and funny so I hope that carrys through on stage, which it seems to be and that the rest of the tour will be successful.
Allowing younger children to experience shows like this is great! We need magical experiences for children instead of having parents night out when a performance comes to town. Although the show is geared to children, parents can always enjoy as well. I agree with Sonia and hope that this inspires more young children to love theatre.
