I'm very excited to hear about this show. I know that many versions of this and similar stories have been told, but I think that musical theatre usually brings something special to a story. I hope it becomes another show that draws kids into the theater and inspires them to pursue the arts. (The first musical I remember seeing was Cinderella, and it had me hooked right away.) I have very high hopes for the long-term success of the production because it is coming from the La Jolla Playhouse...that place seems to be a good omen and has produced so many hugely successful shows, even just in the last ten years. This has really inspired me to learn more about the Playhouse and opportunities that it may offer.

I can't wait for this show. "Peter Pan" is such a timeless piece for children and the story behind the writer J.M. Barrie has always intrigued me. The movie "Finding Neverland" was beautiful, realistic and moving and I'm sure it will make a great musical. The team working on this show is also great; all of them coming from great shows like "Grey Gardens" "Thoughly-Modern Millie" and "Promises, Promises". I have heard some great things about the La Jolla Playhouse in the past couple of years and now with this show coming out I'm really excited for their theater and I want to learn more about them. I wish them all the best and I can't wait to see this show!
