Chris Werner: Q&A on TAP: The Show
Live Design: "Chris Werner designed the lighting for TAP: The Show, at Hersheypark in Hershey, PA, which won a few trophies at this year’s IAAPA Brass Ring Awards last November: winner of The Heartbeat Award and runner-up in it’s budget category for Best Overall Production. In all, Werner lit five of the 40 shows that made it into the finalist level for their individual budget categories... Live Design chats with Werner about his lighting design for TAP: The Show

This is interesting. When the designer is talking about starting form an old school lighting look to a more modern look at the end, reminded me of the show Rain that I saw in New York. That show starting with a pretty basic white look with a bunch of moving lights and I was thinking where is all of the color and movement, when you could have done this with a bunch of source fours. As the show went on they started to show color. I wonder if this is the same with the adding of color. With the pictures that they provide in the article the show seems really good for a theme park. I wonder if the theme parks are going this way in the way for their shows, if so that is preyty cool.
