This inside look into Pixar Studios goes beyond intriguing. This piques my interest even more in Pixar. The amount of dedication, collaboration and creativity that goes into each film is enormously inspiring. The detail that goes into every single part of an action for each character is immensely intricate and fascinating. The fact that a three second clip took a week and a half to do is mind blowing and just makes each moment in the film more appreciated. What was said about Pixar wanting to be considered a great film, not just a great animated film, is such a valid point. It is true, the film was more than an animated entertainment, but caused real emotions, just as any non animated film could do.
this inside look into Pixar is so fascinating. it makes me want to work their so much . the way their studio functions in a very traditional setup with very new work time values is so interesting. the way the studio is setup to harvest creativity is one reason you can explain their great success in the past 16 years. this type of company format is also what has made so many newer companies in the computer technology and internet market realm so successful. this is part of the new american "art" in commercial business and it is good to see it being run so successfully. i couldn't even fathom how great it would be to work at Pixar.
This article warms my heart and most of all inspires me. Out of all the topics the talk about, I found that I was most interested in the animator's role in the emotions of the characters. It's something that I had never necessarily considered and I enjoyed keeping my eye out for all the techniques in which they describe, i.e. lip curling, eyebrow raising, etc. There was a moment where an animator said that Pixar hires people who understand the acting process. I love that process and look forward to researching it more. I wish I had the patience the be an animator and help transform the imaginations of young children, however, I'm stuck in a dark theatre all day, so I may pass for now.
