I am so glad that such a high profile school has assigned a department for a budding specialty in theatrical design. Yale has long been leading the industry in design and production, and them creating a Projections department, might bring projection design more into the mainstream. Projections has long bridged the gap between scenic and lighting, often falling between the cracks because of that. I also think this means that more shows will start to include projections, and that just makes me happy.
