Lessons From the World's Best Project Managers
BNET: "How many times have you said, “I wish I knew then what I know now”? Many a project manager has had the same thought. We asked the managers behind big ventures, including the development of the battery for General Motors’ Chevy Volt, Facebook’s home page redesigns, and Method’s growing line of green cleaning products, for the most important lesson they’ve learned for launching projects with maximum success."

It seems to me that the main thread between everything that each expert said in this article, is that it is important to keep in mind the big picture. This is not only important for project managers, but everyone involved in a project. It's easy to lose sight of why, for who and everything else, but keeping all of these things in mind will overall lead to a more productive and important production.
These are all very interesting insights from people in the real world who deal with problems that could potentially affect a huge group of people. It would be interesting to hear more from each of the mamgers to find out more about the circumstances they are talking about and how they were able to make things work in the end. It would also be a great idea to compile even more people's ideas together into a larger book or website that can allow young project managers to grow and learn from their predecessors. At the same time, it is always useful to experience failures on your own so you have that experience ready in your back pocket.
