Film industry feels the Olympics crunch

VancouverSun: "As if the rising Canadian dollar and the better tax incentives elsewhere weren’t bad enough, the British Columbia film industry faces another obstacle that may drive business elsewhere: the Winter Olympics."

A City can only support so much work. And I am sure the Olympics drains more resources than exist. They talk a lot about parking, but what about equipment or even funding. Not to mention, if they were working, would they even be able to get anyone to or from the location easily.

I am surprised however that many of these theater and film professionals have not found work with an event for the Olympics. It may not be in a theater or on a film shoot, but that doesn't mean they can't do it. Broaden your horizons and try something new. Even those in the unions should be able to find work.
